Room 01-132 Classroom Procedures, Expected Behaviors and Rules Be on time, take out your project, needed tools, and begin working at assigned seat. Be responsible for personal area and other areas where you are working. KEEP IT CLEAN. If its around you seat, it is your responsibility whether you put it there or not. Students will not leave classroom until this is done. Learn about and use tools and supplies correctly. Return tools, supplies, books and artwork to designated areas. No talking when teacher is presenting information or instructions. Quiet talking during student independent work time. Stay out of supply room, office and teachers desk, unless given permission. Students are to stay in their assigned seats until the bell rings, no loitering at the door, no leaving early. One person may leave at a time to use the restroom with permission, following the 20/10 school policy. 3 passes maximum per quarter. (please do not ask every day to use the bathroom, urgent need only) 10. No PLAGIARISM AND CHEATING: Artwork copied from another source constitutes copyright infringement. Work must be from original source or modified so it does not reflect anothers artwork. Classes are based on building foundational drawing skills. Students need to show preliminary drawing work. Artwork that is traced, or copied such as laying paper over image or traced on light table, copied from another artwork etc. will result in no points given for the assignment. Further explanation will be discussed during class. 11. Cell Phone Policy No cell phones out in the classroom. No games, movies, videos, social networking etc., even if youre finished working.Cell phones need to be out of sight, in a bookbag, purse or your pocket. No cell phone charging in class. 11. Music is a Privilege NO MUSIC or earbuds while I am talking, teaching or demonstrating. Do not come in with earbuds in your ears. You may listen to your music during independent work times at a level that can only be heard by you and low enough you can also hear me speak. Still no cell phones Actions That Will Result In Disciplinary Measures Talking during instruction. Actions annoying or disrupting other classmates. Actions causing damage or destruction to school or personal property. Rude or discourteous behavior. Willful disobedience or failure to follow school rules. Defiance of teacher authority Use of profane or obscene language. No Projects will contain subject matter relating to gangs, inappropriate slurs to a group of people, drugs or alcohol, vulgar or violent imagery. If you are not sure about your idea, ask before spending a lot of time on a project. DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES 1. Students will be given a verbal warning about inappropriate behavior. 2. Continued misbehavior will result in parent phone call and/or a referral. 3. Administrative referral inappropriate behaviors continue.
